Touchdown! I got the shell back down on the chassis today. Both doors rehung and gapped, and rear fenders loosely bolted on so I don’t keep tripping over them.

A mammoth paint day today! Got the inside of the shell painted as well as the doors and most of the baja kit. Just the rear wings and the outside of the shell to do next weekend.
Door inners topcoated this afternoon with Savannah Biege. Exciting to see some colour starting to go on.
We got all of the baja’s high impact areas raptored yesterday. Busy it at today sanding down the shell and then getting the door inners painted.
A quick dash down the workshop after work today to get the front into primer.
I almost forgot to weld the horn mount back in after chopping it out for the baja cut! Decided to weld it in the now redundant windscreen washer bottle panel.
I’ve convinced Max to come down over the next few weekends to help rub down the primer ready for paint and raptor. She’ll hate it by the end!
A hot sweaty mess today stripping the inside of the baja ready for primer. Reprimed the passenger door and got the front wings all primed too.
Got the roof, engine bay and passenger door into primer today. Nice to see the outside of the shell all in one colour again!
Baja roof all bare metalled today. Exposed a few more holes around the windscreen and rear window apertures but nothing too bad.
Bonnet all blocked flat and ready for top coat now.
It’s always satisfying seeing things starting to go into primer. O/S, bonnet, engine cover and nose all epoxied and high build primed today.
Roof repair section made up today and welded in, I just need to hammer the guttering lip over and make one more repair for the lower edge.
Made my first few passes of filler over the rear quarter. I’ll probably shape the O/S front quarter and then get this entire side into epoxy and high build primer in the next few weeks.
