Shotblasting

Stevie dropped off at the shotblasters today for a proper cleanup and coat of epoxy. Hopefully they’ll be plenty left to weld to!

Rollover Jig time!

‘65 Split on the rollover jig to get the last few bits chopped out before I drop it off at the media blasters tomorrow (@qsemetalblast). Hoping to have another video out in the next week or two.

Making a start

I’m still in the middle of reorganising and cleaning the workshop ahead of getting stuck into the splitscreen project properly. I did however make a brief start on removing the front inner valance. Good to see the ends of the chassis rail are rock solid.

Collection Day

Collection day for the new ‘65 split and the start of her journey back to being roadworthy! Expertly loaded up by @thepinktowguy and dragged the 20 or so miles back to my workshop. A big thank you to the previous owner, Phil, for letting me buy it off him. I’ve promised him and his kids […]

The next project!!

Well I can’t hide this one any longer, so here it is! I’m under no illusion just how much work will be involved in getting this back on the road, with plenty of metalwork to keep me busy, and quite a few bits missing that I’ll need to source. This is in another league compared […]

Baja Interior

I didn’t get round to taking any pictures of the Baja’s interior when I finished putting it in a few weeks back so here it is in all its glory.

On the Road!

First adult beverage for Myrtle at the pump, and a successful drive out to the bakers arms for pizza. This thing is damn nippy!

First test drive

Out for the first test drive in the baja today! A few further bits to sort before I take it on the road. The gear shifter needs some further adjustment as 2nd 4th and reverse are a bit tricky. I think this is due to the bus gearbox sitting slightly further into the car so […]

Carpets installed

Carpets for the baja’s foot well and tunnel all fitted today, and drivers seat installed. Aiming to take this for its first test drive next week!
